Ages 3 – 5 yr · From survival to propulsion

Toddler Transitions

Moving from survival to propulsion. Kids learn kicking, scooping, and independent forward movement - their first strokes without a parent in the water.

The Approach

What This Program Builds

This is the bridge between clinging to a caregiver and swimming on their own. Children step into the water independently for the first time, working in tiny groups so every swimmer gets hands-on coaching on each pass across the pool.

Format: 30-minute lessons, once or twice weekly, no caregiver in the water. Class ratio capped at 4:1 so the instructor is always within arm's reach.

Level band: Guppies → Otters

By The End, Swimmers Can

  • Independent front float and glide
  • Flutter kick with a kickboard, then without
  • Arm scoops and combined stroke-and-kick
  • Independent roll-to-back rest
